So months ago when I discovered that my friend Marissa hadn’t seen any episodes of The X-Files, I decided that this travesty had to be righted. Nathan fully agreed, and Marissa as well, and we started watching episodes from the very beginning with the intent of watching the seasons straight through.

Of ocouse, since we have the DVDs, we have the ability to pick and choose what episodes absolutely must be watched and what ones we’d really rather never watch again (Ghost in the Machine, for example). Since it’s been awhile since I’ve watched some of these episodes, I’ve had to consult episode guides in order to choose (or we won’t make it through the lets-pretend-they-didn’t-exist seasons 8 and 9).

We’re now in the heart of the fourth season, one of the best, if not the best seasons of the show. Last night we watched Leonard Betts, Never Again, and Memento Mori.. Those three episodes made me go fangirl all over again. Usually we only watch two episodes per Friday night, but after watching those first two, how can you not go straight to watching Memento Mori?

And now I have to figure out what episodes are the Necessary ones for season four.
